Found myself at a hotel this morning and tried your poolside workout! Felt nice to do first thing in the AM. Thanks for sharing!

I usually skip workouts during travel - but my Google fit will track 35 - 45,000 steps in a day sometimes so I always figure that about covers it 😅 Upcoming trips (to big cities), I've made little spreadsheets of outdoor yoga classes around my hotel.

Thank you so much for this post! I just needed this, thank you, can I ask you, how do you stay eating healthy while traveling? How do you balance eating foods you don’t usally eat at home and or as not as nutritious and eating healthy? Thank you

Hi Estefania, I eat the same while traveling as I do at home! I eat a lot of protein (chicken, eggs, steak, greek yogurt, fish), lots of vegetables, grains and healthy fats. I indulge the same while traveling as I do at home as well, so not much changes!

I absolutely love active vacations, if I'm not tired after vacation, what did I even do!? LOL. So I feel like I get a lot of movement, but something structured is a great idea for longer ones. I think next time, I'll take some bands with me for resistance and try some of these :)

This made me rethink what “working out” can feel like on vacation — light, grounding, joyful. Love it. Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏼

Thanks for sharing! Some great tips in here. I put a lot of pressure on myself to stay consistent even through travel but I love your mindset of finding other ways to incorporate - walks, shorter work outs, a few workouts being better than nothing.

You don’t like to run ? I have 3 kids and I think that running is the best training because is a way to really be alone o be focused on you! :)

I don’t think I’ve ever really given it a fair shot! Every time I have tried to run in the past, I have to stop 10 min in because my side hurts so bad. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? It’s always felt painful to me.

This is why I would LOVE to be a runner. It sounds so nice but it has never clicked for me.

I published a wellness post last month all about the benefits of morning movement and leveraging it as a performance strategy. It truly is the way to set the tone for your day.
