I'm loving this idea Thomas! I'm both visual and old fashioned. I need to write things down AND I need to have it somewhere where I can see it throughout the day. I'm going to give your method a try. Thanks for sharing!
I’d be super curious to know more about the BTS process of coming up with your newsletter name (i struggle myself with these little important copywriting tasks) and how you would visually present it (graphics, etc). Really enjoyed this post!
This gave me some good food for thought, Thomas! Especially when it comes to short vs meaningful tasks. That's a particular point I think the organization I work for struggles with in general.
As a type A organized person myself, I’m loving your contributions to this Substack page. Thanks for the good suggestions. I’ll generally use lists or an Eisenhower Matrix, and have used post it notes in the past in a similar way, but the color blocking is a great idea. Looking forward to trying your method.
I just read this post and love the content! It gave me a few ideas to add to my own methodology. How do you decide what to post on Trade Offs vs. your website vs. Instagram? Is it challenging to balance all three platforms?
I am late to this thread and new around here. Just back to work after 10 months of maternity leave and definitely in need f a productivity tool. I will give this a try. - thanks for sharing!
Our production coordinator in my office came up with a similar system for herself, but the color codes are based on the urgency of the task. We joke that you know it’s serious when a red sticky note is in play! It is seriously a helpful system.

Wait I I love this. So simple but so good. I’m definitely going to try it on a cookbook stand too!

Hey Thomas. Out of curiosity do you guys use paper planners? I am a user and I love it!
Hi Marilia, I love using a daily to-do list. I have re-ordered this one from Amazon a handful of times now: https://amzn.to/40OBiYZ x Julia
Mine is for a Brazilian luxury paper brand called MH Studios. I think one of their notebooks was suggested by Julia sometime that I don’t remember!
Definitely implementing asap
OK WOW
Great ideas. Do you have a link to this cookbook stand?
Hi Helen, Here is the link: https://urlgeni.us/amzn/_ZeCC
I am going to try this. The constant switching is what I always find wastes the most time for me. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing! Such useful tools and advice
I love this idea, I have been struggling with finding a good way to prioritize my daily tasks.

Genius! Love that it brought you guys over to substack. Loving all your fresh, creative, thoughtful content here!
