This past week took us to Montauk for a shoot, though I'm already packing for Gstaad. Here's everything I loved, ordered, and added to cart along the way.

A foundation I ordered on the spot

I loved the makeup artist, Kirstie from Beauty by the Beach, who did my glam for the shoot. She used this foundation on me, which I immediately ordered. It felt like absolutely nothing on and has the most beautiful glow.

Diamonds that float

We were at a beach dinner with friends and one of them was talking about this Dorsey necklace, which immediately piqued my interest. I haven’t dipped into lab-grown diamonds yet, but this is the first piece that has me adding to cart (the emerald version is stunning, too). While I was browsing, I added this necklace and this necklace to my wishlist.

One jacket, three price points

Packing for Gstaad next week, I wanted a new lighter-colored parka-style jacket I could wear into fall. I initially found this Bottega one, which led me to this Toteme one at a fraction of the price, which then led me to this Varley one at half the price of that.

The jeans I’ve worn every single day

I’ve worn these jeans basically every day while we’ve been here in Montauk, and I cannot tell you how many compliments I’ve received. My recommendation is to size up because they run pretty snug!

Easy tops for the in-between season

I’m starting to shop for that in-between stretch where the morning starts cool and then you blink and it’s hot by two. What I want are easy daytime tops that work here in Charleston or for Blackberry Mountain (we’re going early fall!). This blouse from Sézane checks all the boxes: a short-sleeved poplin with a boat neck and tie-waist detail. It’s a basic that doesn’t read as basic. Two others I got to try: this sun-faded red button-down (I’ll wear it unbuttoned over a tank), and this knit striped halter, fall in the fabric, summer in the cut and that golden yellow.

For the girls, who are into anything with a ruffle right now, matching sets they can pull on themselves. I love this top and shorts in pink and blue stripes.

In my suitcase I have a handful of my favorite Rhone pieces for hiking in Switzerland. My favorite pair of shorts, this top (the fabric is truly top quality), and this pullover anorak.

The sneaker that beat out eight others

I’ve ordered at least eight pairs of sneakers recently, trying to find the perfect pair for our trip, and I finally decided on these. They feel active-forward while still being sleek on (not too chunky), extremely comfy and chic.

Shoes my girls love

Speaking of shoes, one brand my girls love and are really crushing it in the comfy department is Rothy’s. The adult styles have come a long way since launch, and while they’re not really my cup of tea, my kids absolutely love them. Two styles we’re packing for our trip: these sandals and these sneakers (my girls also love the Mary Janes).
