Dreamy hotels captivate with stunning views, flawless and personal service, and gardens or terraces overflowing with flowers. It’s no accident that three of our top five are in Italy.


1. Passalacqua, Lake Como

Our newest obsession, Passalacqua instantly earned its spot on this list. Set on a grand lakeside estate, terraces leading down to the lake hide surprises at every turn. The morning light that hits the dining terrace is like something out of a movie. Holding the title of the world’s best hotel the year we visited, every team member radiated warmth and went out of their way to welcome our kids. Their fleet of vintage boats are a must during your visit to get out and capture the magic of the water. It’s been a year since our stay, yet we often catch ourselves daydreaming of Passalacqua’s timeless magic.


2. Le Sirenuse, Positano

Perched on the Amalfi Coast’s sunny cliffs, Le Sirenuse feels like a private retreat surrounded. Everywhere you look offers a vibrant feast for the eyes, from the colorful facade and charming decor to the sweeping views of rooftops cascading down toward the blue sea. Potted lemon trees heavy with fruit line the poolside, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. Even during the bustling high season, the property provides a serene sanctuary away from Positano’s lively crowds.
